Great Practice on 12/6

It was really enthusing to return from our Fall Snow Camp and have a group of 12 BKL skiers show up ready for a ski practice!  We did a fun dynamic warm-up followed by drills, some skill specific games including a popcorn race, erg and obstacle, and capture the flag.

We are traveling to Craftsbury to ski Friday and Saturday.  Saturday's Craftsbury Opener is likely to happen -- get in touch if you would like to join us!

Don't be fooled like this toad was!!  It's going to get cold and snow around here!

We concluded practice with a Snow Poem with the kids and we finished the reading with a shrill cheer, "LET IT SNOW."  I think the shrill was so sharp it cut the upper atmosphere and let the cold air in:)

And for info about this weekends races.

Snow Dance
Pillowy powder
Falls from the sky,
I gaze in wonder,
As the white flakes fly.
Dancing and swirling,
Through the air,
Like an aerial ballerina,
Without a care.

It lands on the leaves,
On the trees and the grass,
It is silently pretty,
But I know it won’t last.
But just for the moment,
I am taken away,
By the still quiet beauty,
That is here for the day.
